Magic mouse not so magical

I've had the Apple Magic Mouse now for a little over 1 year and today...it died.  The clicking still works but I can't move the cursor at all.  I am so bummed out especially since I paid almost $70 for this thing.

I'm currently looking to purchase a new mouse for my iMac but I'm not sure which one to go with.  Should I get another Magic mouse???  HELP!!!
